Founded in 1991 by Habitat for Humanity, Women Build is a program that encourages the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes. The Tacoma/Pierce County Women Build program empowers women to recognize and realize their skills and talent and create opportunities for them to grow, both personally and professionally.
As part of the 2019 program, Women Build volunteers are making planter-box benches. Ranging from $149-$399, there are three styles of handcrafted cedar benches to choose from and there's even a DIY option, where you can come build alongside our volunteers. Every purchase supports Women Build and Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity.
Your bench will be ready for pick up in approximately 30 days, and we will contact you when it's finished.
